Default Head light Malfunction

My left headlight is starting to malfunction. I notice the color is not as bright and as white as the right side, and sometime it just doesn't turn on the 1st try. I need to turn it off and back on and usual I can get it to work and the bulb is about a year old.

Does anybody think I need to replace the light or is their another issue I'm running into here.

I believe someone mentions a ballast problem but does that mean the bulb is still good and only the ballast needs to be replaced?

TIA

D

try switching bulbs. move drivers side over to passenger and vice versa. see if the problem moved to the other side. if so, it's a bulb issue. if not, its a ballast (or other) issue.

Here it is:

But i think your problem might be the bulb. Try switch the right with the left bulb. Just to be sure not to buy what you don't need.

Sounds like a ballast issue to me.
