Was wondering if anyone here has ever changed just the out side lens on there head lamp assemblies. I did it on my 99 540i but I cant find for the e60.

 

AFAIK, the lenses are not seperatelu available. The headlight assembly is plastic and glued together. Unlike your E39 that had a glass lense that clipped onto the headlight assembly. So, your options are replacement or polishing. Most choose to polish.
