I live in my car.. So I drink coffee in it and eat in it (I'm always in a trafficjam somehow)..
I also do a lot of business on the phone in the car so you will find papers with names and telephone numbers on the passenger seat and rearseats..
Once a week I get it all out and clean her up. I need this car to do my work so I live in it..

I let mine get to the skip stage (takes about 2 weeks with the 3 dieselettes) then take it to my dealer who does the business inside and out...nice perk to have when on good terms with the sales manager.....or perhaps its all the cars I and Mrs diesel have bought over the years.
worst episode (thankfully not in this car) was when 1 hour after setting off back home from a day out, my son says "daddy, I think I've stepped in something"........oh dear!

having only just got the car I'm definitely in that initial "don't touch that" , "don't kick the back of the seat", "just sit still" phase but with a 4 yr old and a 7 yr old I just know I'm going to have to give in soon!

well... just adding my bit... had my car nearly 3 months and still love it.... i've cleaned and waxed this car more than i have any other!!!! Its still looks the dogs Bo....\Ks!!!!!!!
with regard food and drink.... drink - ok providing its in secure capped bottles and with regard food... well the inital rule was no... but now its relaxed a bit to non-smelly foods.... no takeways... but i have had the odd sandwich or chocolate bar!!!
Fortunately there are no little chaps to wreck the back sits or be sick anywhere!!!

I'm in the same boat as mathmos, but my kids are 2 and 7. Until I get the new seat-back protectors, I make them take their shoes off, but somehow they still manage to get dirt on the back of the seats(?????)after only 2 days of having the car.

Had mine for 6 mths now.
Still no food or dirty footwear in the car. Anything and everything foreign is emptied from the trunk after every trip. An all round inspection is warranted everytime I collect it from the dealers after some upgrade or minor repair. I still park it as far away from crowded places as possible.
Last but not least, my leather still smells new. (a comment made by several people)
Don't think I'll ever let up.
