I agree! But on long journeys especially when overtaking is necessary i think the 535d would have a big advantage becasue of the turbo/toruqe setup!

A big advantage over a 545? I doubt it. And don't quote 50 to 70 in gear times - no one drives like that.

I have driven in both, hard to say. Like the superb sound of a V8. Like the direct response of the 535d and the feeling in the 535d that the engine has no problem with the weight of the car. It seems that the diesel is having an easier job... lower rpm's

Yeah i agree! I think 70% of the time the 545 is quicker but add some little magic of remapping and then it's the other way around!

I've driven both. The 545 is the faster and better one. I haven't found any situation the 535d was better/faster.

Nope. If I do chiptuning on the 545 I'm still faster. Comparing a remapped 535d vs. the stock 545 is like comparing apples and oranges!
