Handbrake Problem

My Ride: 530D SE
All my 5's have had minor handbrake problems. Not sure if E60 is the same mechanism as on E39 and E34, these were prone to being poor hill holders. My E60 has a fault in that the handbrake can stick on when the car needs to roll to the rear. This however can be useful at traffic lights as it's an anti-roll back feature! Sometimes I can take the handbrake off and the car stands still! This isn't by design I might add...
