the most painful way you can hurt your feelings, when you scrape your car in your own foot step. If you have surface scratch then you can buff it out depending on the material it hit, if its deep then i am afraid you need to go to the dealer or a good body shop. However i know being a fellow e60 owner you can never live with a scratched car, everytime you look at it you will try to notice the scratch even more, so yea call the body shop and get it done and be happy...

Oh I am so sorry for you.
One reason I hate to wash/wax/detail my car is that I get to see all the small imperfections in my baby.
I hope you will be able to polish it out. If not . . .
Look at the good side: I am sure you will be more careful in the future.

ooh I'm sorry to hear that cliff, I think it's better to get it to bmw let them do the work ..
btw, my bf always scratch his car on the grage gate .. So I came up wit this sloution:
I glowed a ruber at the surfec like the one used on electric doors at the mall on the whole grage gate, it dosnt affect the electric door and also it save his car from scratches.
