well this is probably of no use to some people who knew this or if this little piece of information was posted on this board prior to this....but i just found this out

when you push the mute button in on the dash board to turn the music off...in V.11 the CD kept playing while it was mute <_< . But i just noticed after my V.12 software upgrade the CD actually stops

just thought i would share since now you can acutally take notice

adios

I keep putting off upgrading the software 'cause I don't have any pressing issues. I may never request the upgrade.

My car is only a few steps from the keyboard most of the time. You guys have sent me to the garage many times to learn or verify something about my car. It's a great forum. I got the shakes for a while last evening when I couldn't access the group for a while. I could get the e60.net, but not the Forum. Wow , that sent me to the fridge for a cool one!

On the steering wheel, where you can program the 2 buttons - Can you use one of those buttons as if you were to press the button to 'pause/mute' on the radio deck itself?
I think so.
While on this topic, it would be nice if the call button was reprogramable for those of us who cannot use the phone with their car.

I can't, Vishal, because I have one button assigned to the NAV lady, by NAV, I think. Maybe some others can.

In my case, whereas I do have NAV, I don't have the phone. It would be good if I could program the two phone buttons rather than just hauling them around with me everywhere I go. <_<

I can do some of the things you say that the V12 will get your car to do.
Mine was built in 28th April. The CD does pauses when i press the button in the wheel drive. The wheel drive buttons are possible to be programmed with several functions. And the RDS is not working in the Manual search programs, the table has the numbers but not the radio names.
What version am i supposed to have in my car?
