GPS Location Inaccurate
I noticed this a week ago, and it is getting substantially worse. My GPS says I am driving about 180 degrees opposite the direction I am pointed, and it is now about 20 miles off from my location.
The dealer says it could be the antenna or a software issue. I tried the tip of driving in circles in a parking lot, but that did not work. I also disconnected the battery for a hard reset, but the problem persists.
This is the GPS Navigation on my 2006 525i. It still has the original disc. Aside from not showing new neighborhoods, the disc does not appear to be the issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can test the antenna by purchasing a new aftermarket one from eBay. They are around 15.00 and you would need the fakra antenna with female. It should connect into the TCU in the left trunk area or you could slide your head unit out bad connect there. Then place the antenna on you ip or roof and go for a ride. It's a cheap test...
