My Ride: 2004 Titanium Gray 545i auto, navigation, premium sound/Logic7, cold weather, adaptive Xenon, Lumbar support, split rear seat, PDC.
My version is 2004-2 also and I haven't had significant accuracy issues here in South (New) Jersey unless I put in the wrong address.

I have my home address set and when I pull up in front of the garage door I get the "you have arrived". However, the other day when looking for a business it was off by a couple of hundred feet. I just put it down to everything else discussed above, the satelites, atmosphere, building obstructions, etc.

Mine is just about always amazingly accurate as far as where exactly to turn left or right, etc. However, addresses and businesses, i.e. the actual destination has always been off by a couple of hundred feet. I think this is the way the us s/w is designed.

Hi back at you Sam.
I think the reason that the turns are accurate but the addresses are not is related to the database from NavTeq.
Street addresses are probably stored in blocks or groups rather than at exact coordinates like roads. Usually, adding a street address helps the system tell you what side of the street and what block or general area the destination is on...
