Was at a friends place last week for a few hours, when I came out of his house and approached my car my drivers mirror
was bent forward, meaning the outer edge of the mirror was now facing the front of the car and the glass mirror was hanging
from it's wires. First thought was great, here goes $ 500.00 for a new mirror.
I twisted the mirror frame back into position and then noticed a circular disc in the frame that had slots it in , The mirror had
plastic pins on it to insert in these slots, I pushed the glass back in postion and then entered the car and checked all functions, power mirror and heating functions, thank god everything was working fine. The outer edge of the mirror frame has a tiny nick in it from where the other cars mirror clipped mine, nothing serious or noticeable unless you were looking for it.
And no, the scum bag did not leave a note on my car.
I am sure if this happened on most other cars it would have been a trip to the dealer for a new mirror.
