Glad you came out of that relatively unscathed when it could have been so much worse from what you described!
This is when it pays to buy better - and the 5-series is one of the best!

Hope you are able to get back in the drivers seat quickly - wont blame you if your next car is a Jaguar XF or better still, the XJ.
Few people have seen the XJ in the flesh but when it comes out, BMW Audi and Merc have a whole new level of challenge to deal with.
The new F10 and the latest 7-series are just underwhelming when you look at the performance and interior package of these new motors

Anyways, glad you are well and thanks for posting.

Dangerous and inexperienced driving is hardly something to be proud off.
Wonder what your insurance premium is?
In the UK it would be worth as much as your 5er.

Again this happened years ago.. my insurance is good now.. with paying only $67 per month
