My Ride: 2008 550i Sport package, Sport transmission
Default Going through my options list - can someone tell me what these things are?

Smoker's package - I don't smoke. What would the car have had if the smoker's package was not selected? (I may be interested in swapping it out)

CD Changer Preparation - My car does not have the CD changer. What is this on my build sheet?

Battery Switch - Is this a kill switch that I could use when working on the car and needing to disconnect the battery? If so, where is it located?

There were a few other things I didn't know about, but I have searched. These three things are the remaining that I haven't found.

Thanks so much,
William

Ashtray and lighter

In the wiring harness behind the glove compartment"

When the vehicle was delivered to the original dealer it had a so called switch under the front passenger seat. The switch was there for shipping purposes only and was removed at delivery to the dealer.

Thanks for the clarification on the battery switch.

When you mention the ashtray and lighter - that's what I do have. I am interested to know what would have been in its place if I did not have the ashtray and lighter. Basically, what was the other option? (Assuming there was another option)

Do all of the 550s have the CD Changer prep when they did not get the actual CD Changer? That would seem odd to add extra wiring for something that wasn't going to go on the car.

Thanks again,
William

A solid panel below the heater controls down to the transmission console.

I believe CD changer prep was standard equipment.
On my retired 08 the smokers package441, is listed as standard equipment and on most N.American build sheets.
