Ever sit at a stop light and notice the deflection/distortion in the windshield of other vehicles around you? That's the Chinese/insurance crap (FUJIAN YANHUA (FY) based in China) that has taken over the market.

Glass is not the same! Pilkington, and some PPG, are the best in the world.

Chinese crap is just that. I don't care that it comes with a lifetime warranty.

I would much rather live with a small crack than have Chinese glass installed.

The distortion is that bad.
were can i purchase my glass from this company ? PILKINGTON?

I would call the glass company and check - they should know.

Too lazy to read all the posts. HUD windshields use a tapered interlayer to avoid ghosting or double reflected images from the HUD projector. The HUD windshield will have no affect on the rain sensing wipers or any other device. When I replaced my HUD windshield, it could only be found at the dealer. My cost for the windshield was $601 + $104 for adhesive and incidentals and $180 labor. Total dealer cost was $885 back in 6/12

I'm in florida. I called the auto glass company that deals with the high end car dealers here. Because i'm in florida i don't pay an insurance deductible. The bill was about $980 something. I can give you the part number from the glass later.

HI
after a lot of reading looks like : THERE IS NO SUCH windshield that can have all the functions: HUD+CCL(climate comfort laminate glass)+RSL + GWSB(Green windshield, shade band)+AAC(Automatic air conditioning)

IS EITHER..RSL+GWSB+AAC(witch all 3 options my car HAVE).........WITH HUD ...OR..... CCL(Infrared reflective laminate for the windscreen, keeping interior cabin cooler in direct sunlight. Includes Grey shade band at the top of the windscreen, """""which is removed in combination with Head-up Display"""".

looks like HUD AND CCL THEY DONT GO TOGETHER

so now i have A dilemma do i want to do HUD glass so i can do the HUD RETROFIT witch can be around $3k
OR, get the CCL(for a UV REFLECTION but MAY BLOCK my V1 functionality WITCH is hardwired next to the rear view mirror on the passenger side)"??
