I always favored Gilmour over Waters, Fred. Waters was too "doom and gloom" too long for my tastes. Made some darn good albums, though.

Especially the hybrid SACD's sound great in the car!!!
i thought if you don't have sacd player, you'll be able to hear the diff but not much . please correct me if i'm wrong. i wanted to get either sacd or dvd audio for so long but both are not popular in the states .
There definately is a difference in soundquality with the hybrid SACD's. They don't sound like a normal CD but much clearer and without the ssssssssssssshhhhhh in the background when you put the volume up.

I like it a lot!

It needs to be a Hybrid SACD. That means it has two layers.. A "normal" layer and the special SACD layer.

I'm gonna try a SACD (not hybrid) later today to see if it works.

i think i'm going to stay with the dinosaur cds for now since sacd is still something light years ahead of us...at least in the states :'(. but i'd like to know the result, too. thanks for trying .

Do you think it had anything to do with your car getting all wet????
I doubt it, the think is tucked away quite well.

had same problem with the CD changer in my last E46, took it to the dealer they just swapped it for a new one straight away, after that never had a problem. I would just get them to swap it out for a new one.

If you accidentally put X-rated DVD in the cd changer, you'll lost it for good because the cd changer will keep it for itself . Just joking
