Gearstick vibration

Hi,
Can anyone help/advise me of whether the gearstick should vibrate at idle on an 07 520dSE Tourer - having forked out ?700 on service (?450 of which labour charges) thought that the car would have returned without the vibration - now left several messages with the dealer but to date no one has called back! Car still under warrenty so the big Q is whether this the vibration is acceptable or if big probs ahead!
Only had the car a week from private seller so before I get pushy with BMW I need to know if this 'problem' is the norm!

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
This stick don't vibrate (electronic gear shifter) - only the hand of the picture snapper vibrates, and that's me.
