My Ride: 04 525i Silver Full ACS'ed...
Hello to all, BMW E60 520i 2.2petrol 2004 manual 6speed gearbox. Is it possible to change manual gearbox to automatic? If yes,so how much it cost approximately? Thanks.

My Ride: Late 2005 M5 in Silverstone Metallic II with Full Black Leather Interior. SMG, LOGIC7, Heated Front Seats, Rear Electric Sun Blind, Comms Package, Professional Nav, TV Function, Extended Voice Control, Adaptive Headlights
It is possible but it would cost thousands as there is so much work to be done. I wouldn't even contemplate it!

Everything is possible with enough money...but I think you would need a new input shaft and drive shaft to make it work. Along with new engine management....problems down the road would probably be electrical glitches like limp mode...etc...car was made for 6spd...keep it that way
