From: NJ (EXIT 4), SUMMERS IN GREECE

My Ride: 2006 550 SMG

When I originally priced out my 550 in august, the gas guzzler tax was $1000.00, now they tell me it went up to $1300.00, anyone know if this is accurate, or are they just trying to get more $ ?

Gas Guzz tax will be on the sticker of the car. My take, agree to the $1300 figure and if the Guzz tax is lower, demand a refund. Get the break down of your purchase price in writing.

In the USA, kbb.com still quotes it at $1,000. Maybe the MPG figures have come in and it's been raised to $1,300. I think it MIGHT be related to that.
