fuel pump broken

Sorry to hear that. The HPFP is a common problem. Often after that your fuel injectors go. I have had one HPFP and all of my fuel injectors replaced.

Absolutely normal. 1st -----> 2nd -----> 3rd time for as long as you continue to drive it.
