Hi,
I once had a loaner 525i automatic and hardly got 500 km with one filling; almost only "Autobahn"; more than 13 ltr/100 km!
I told the dealer and he said that the problem is well known. The 525i is known to be thirsty.

My Ride: 525, Dec 2003, Silver Grey, Black Dakota Leather, Bluetooth, Satnav, 18'' Runflats, Sunroof, Folding mirrors, Automatic
Mines not too bad, I purchased my used 525 from BMW, 6 months old with 400 miles on the clock. I ran it in pretty much to the book. I've covered 5000 miles now, averaging 27 MPG on mixed town & country driving, including the occasional blast in DS!

[/quote]I had originally checked the settings thinking the same, it was setup for US measurement - good point. I am taking the systems word for it on the mileage. I am wondering if the upgrade on versions is having a real impact on gas mileage?
