so im having this issue where my fuel door wont lock into place when the cars unlocked but when i push the fuel door in bit and lock the car the fuel door will stay shut but once i unlock the car it flings out and ive already been to the dealership for this problem and a few days later it happened again anyone have any help or DIYs?

 

it sounds like a bad plunger. mine wasn't flinging the door open (as you call it) but it was locking. the dealer replaced the plunger and that was the end of that.

 

I've had that problem few months ago, it was fixed under recall.
