Here are the by hand data: 18.22 mpg before the software update (average over ~ 30 tanks), 14.52 mpg after the update.

The computer says: 18.01 vs. 15.4 mpg.

Maybe the recent weather change has lowered the tire pressure. I noticed a 2MPG drop after reducing my pressures from 36/44 to 29/35.

WOW your computer does a better job in calculating your MPG than mine... mines too optimistic.

So by HAND calculations you're losing like 3.7mpg. wow thats strange...

I had an upgrade to 18.xx 3 weeks ago. Since then, my mileage has dropped from ~ 18 mpg to 15.5 mpg for the same drive every day (2 tanks now).
This is both from the computer and calculated (they are within ~ 5% error). Nothing else has changed.

Any ideas whats going on?????

I have the same experience. I asked to have the procedure that grogan545 suggested for improving OBC mileage accuracy. I thought that was what had caused the change, but it could have been ver 18 that changed it. I believe it is much more accurate now. I am showing 16.5 mpg for city driving.

Ver 18 also appears to have fixed any shifting to N problems that I experienced with ver 13.

That is strange. My MPG has been very steady the whole 4 months I've owned it. If you've confirmed the mileage by hand, and haven't changed driving habits por gas type substantially, I would take it to the dealer-- that is odd.

I too have also noticed that since my upgrade to 19.1 that my mpg had dropped from 23.5 to 20.8. I havent changed my driving style and my commute to work is approximatel 30 miles on the thruway. I have also noticed that since the upgrade the car definetely have more umph when in drive and as someone above said the difference between DS and D is negligible.
