Even better is using the interactive DVD that comes with your car. It will explain most of your car's features for you.

uh no it's not I 've had both "LCI" 535I and a "Pre LCI" 530xi.... Both had/have TPSM.

07 is the switch over year for FTM to TPSM in the USA due to a NHTSA mandate to use the TPSM style on passenger cars vs the ABS system some company's were using to save on costs.

Not sure about yall but in my car you can only reset the FTM while in park, can't be moving. My FTM goes off every 100miles because the guy who owned my car before me hit the hell outta the right rear tire on a curb and its not towing correctly anymore so the rotations are slightly off over long distances. Gotta get the car realigned soon. So I have reset it a lot and never once has the iDrive allowed me to do it while rolling.

It doesn't allow you to hit "reset" while rolling, however, it needs to be rolling to recalibrate. Doesn't do much good for system that measures rotation to be sitting still when you calibrate, I did it yesterday when I got new rear tires - stop at red light, hit reset, start rolling and done

Gotcha, yeah I knew that much it just sounded like you were implying the car had to be rolling while you hit reset and I thought I was missing out on something haha.

Even with TPMS the reset button can only be hit when the car is fully stopped but the calibration ONLY occurs when the car is moving. I just did this after one tire was replaced that had a golfball sized bubble on the side and the letters on the sidewall were misaligned due to a broken steel belt from a pothole injury.
