how does the FTM work? i thought tpms were used, i was baffled when i went to get my tires serviced and found out there were no tpms installed. how did the FTM go off then?

It uses the ABS sensor and tire revolutions... tires with loss air spin at a different rate than tires with fill air. so the car uses multiple sensors and compares the wheels speeds across axles and yells at you when one wheel is spinning at different speeds than another.
