The Lexus IS ventilated seats just blows air to your thighs and not to your butt or back.

True, but it sure does cost a lot less than what it costs us!

does it? at $2010?

Premium Package with Additional Option $2,010.00
Premium Package with Auburn bird's-eye maple interior trim, Perforated leather-trimmed interior, Heated and ventilated front seats.
Additional Option:
- 18-in Alloy Wheels with Summer Tires

We're forced to get the "additional option" Try and build a IS 350 and thats the cheapest option. $2010

Lexus doesn't sell "options". They sell "Option Packages."

Frankly, I prefer that approach. A-la-carte options tend to increase the price more than packages.

Ya but I dont want some of the stuff in the option packages... I rather pick and choose AND if the option package is good then I'll take it. I like BMW / MINI style...

They both have their pros and cons. I like Lexus' option packages, because most of the options in the packages overlap (are included) in the other packages as well. The only con is obviously that you can't choose a sport & premium package together. BMW's restriction on the options are minimal, still allowing you to add an option on the package that you selected doesn't include.

Neither way is better, just personal preference coinciding with what options you want.
