A friend of mine had a mishap and one of the PDC sensors in his front bumper was dislodged and now hangs loose by its wire behind the bumper. The sensor itself still works. He can reach it by removing the front grill, but it doesn't seem to fit back in the hole--is there a trick or procedure involved here that isn't obvious? The car is a 2008 5501.

BTW, the dealer wants a fortune to do the work--remove the bumper, some sort of bracket and who knows what else. I looked at the parts diagram on RealOEM, but it's not clear how the parts fit together.
