The summer is definitely here in Southern California. The car interior is extreme hot when I get off work around 5:30PM. I know e60 has an option "Parked car ventilation" which I never used before. I just set it up this morning, and hope it works well.

I use it alot this time of year. I think it helps. I notice my car is cooler when I get in it.

Parked Car Ventilation + Tinted Windows + BMW e60 Windshield Cover = Perfect solution to keeping the interior cool when the car is sitting out all day baking in the sun.

This is a great feature, along with the shade package, but remember you have to reset this feature it does not stay set. By the way South Florida is way hotter the CA

You forgot the ventilated seats.

The ventilation feature is nice but I stopped using it in my E39 since my schedule is too random. It would be nice if I would activate it on my way to the car as I lock up my office.

It's standard in the US. Go to Climate settings and go to Parked Car Operation in I Drive. You have the ability to set two times for it to come on. After you set it a little red fan light will come on under the center climate knob on the dash.

Yes, wouldn't it be nice if you could set it for the days of the week that you wanted it to automatically come on at your designated times, say M-F etc.

I normally prgram this using voice commands before I get to my destination.

Me-Parked Car operation
Me- Activation time
Car- Would you like to set time1?
Me-Yes
Car- Please say the time
Me - One thirty
Car- Did you say 1.30
Me - Yes
Car-AM or PM
Me -PM
Car- Would you like to activate time1
Me Yes
Car- Parked car ventilation will be switched on at 13.30

This takes less than 30 seconds without taking your eyes of the road and you don't have to sit in the parked car to set it up.
