Obviously something wrong with me, as I like having the map screen up all the time.

I almost always use the nav even when I'm going to places that I regularly go to. Mainly so that I keep a check on the ETA. Very handy just for that. TMC is a nice bonus, but it rarely tells me to take another route.

I rarely input an address to navigate to (once per month?) ... but the map screen is always on.

I use it all the time even for the same trip each day to and from my place of work. Find it really useful to have an estimated time of arrival - it now makes my journeys less stressful as I know roughly what time I'll get to work or get home in the evening (plus of course the TMC messages let me know of any traffic problems en route)

NAV is nice, but wondering how often people use it.

When I think about it, for me personally, I don't use it that often ... maybe 2 or 3 times a month, if that.

I know where I live. I know where I work. And, most importantly, I know how to get from where I live to where I work (and vice versa).
How about telling us where you are from and a Sig with the year and options you have so we can better understand the posts you put up.
cheers

Someone please remind me what TMC is. Traffic monitoring costlessly??? I did not realize that nav would keep one out of traffic. me here, por favor.

I do leave "current location" on in the small screen because I like to know where I am and how high I am.
