Whoa! I was just out in the garage playing with my horn buttons (Geno's thread) when I looked at my settings. Guess what. I had a full BMW Assist menu -- first time in over a year. Not only that, but Christie answered and wanted to know what she could do for me. Looks like my 2004 March build now has pro bono BMW Assist established again. Check yours.

I re-signed for two additional years. And will probably continue to renew it. IMO it's worth the cost.

off the topic...someone told me that audi will stop the free maintainance service and soon to follow mercedes then bmw... is this true? about the assist... i didnt renew. i never used it...but on my wifes still new so since we travel more on that one i think we will renew..ericd

I had my 530 for 19 months....never used it.....so......no big deal to me....although.....I might like to meet this Christie that answered JDN's call

I'm coming up on one year and rec'd the BMW assist renewal letter about a month ago. BMW assist does require annual renewal after the first year($240/yr) and every year thereafter, BUT BMW roadside assistance was extended in 1/06 for free for life of warranty (4 or 6 years).
I've decided to renew Assist. $240 wont change my lifestyle, but having and being able to use BMW Assist might.....
