Default Found a water leak in battery compartment

Hi, on my new used 2006 530XI wagon, I was backing up the car and I heard water sloshing around. Battery Tray on top of battery was full of water. I made a video showing what happens. I used a garden hose and it looks like it is leaking from the seal for moon roof. I just got this car and been finding all these surprises. I am not sure if it is a blockage issue but right now I am afraid to play with the moon roof not knowing if it will fail on me open.

Is this something common, are there gaskets that I need to change? How bad is the problem. For now I sealed it with sealant and duct ape. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

this is my video .

This is a pretty common problem, particularly for cars that are kept outside (not in a garage). There are drain tubes in the moon roof that can get clogged with dirt, dust, pollen, whatever. Do a search or check out youtube to see how to clean them out.

Thanks, I have to take panel off, it looks like the Hose is damaged somewhere behind the trim work.
