Ain't it always about finances? Gas was $4.39 last July & the mortgage-sized payment was getting old. I needed a daily driver, and the M was just not practical at 13mpg. It was a shitload of fun, though.
Im sure the car insurance payment wasnt a fun one to look at either!!!

What kind of gas mileage are you getting in the 550?

Insurance on the M5 wasn't much more than my 550i....was around $90/month with State Farm. I get 20.8 mpg now with 70% highway driving.

Haha nice. People always assume M5 insurance must be thousands more than the regular cars and the V8s must suck gas A LOT more than the I6s but thats not true either...

$90 more a month? mines even less... maybe like $200 more than the 545 annually but I'm with a cheap insurance company...

It also depends on what age group and location you are. If you're 20 something and living in NYC, you are paying thru your nose.

20.8? Wow, my lifetime MPG (I never reset it), is 16.8 MPG. I'm a leadfoot I suppose. I am guessing that with Sprint Booster it is now going to be worse.

If any other M5 drivers are looking for a somewhat more practical 550. I am looking for a swap of leases.
