Found the reason why there is soo much Break dust!

It's the damn 166 wheels on my 525i!!
I think since the wheel size is 19", the brakes are getting rubbed unevenly causing lots of brake dust. As soon I went back to default 138 wheels, 0 brake dust since then. Haven't cleaned the wheels in 3 weeks now.

The type of wheel on your car has nothing to do with the rotation of the rotor and it's caliper. You're getting massive brake dust because the shape and style of the 166 attracts that dust as it spins, thats all. I know, I have the same wheel set and I have to clean my wheels twice a day sometimes.

I had 123s on my car originally and my rims would look like they were powder coated after a couple of days. I'm considering upgrading my brake pads to something that doesn't release so much brake dust.

Good idea, that will be the only real way to eliminate dust. It has nothing to do with your wheel and tire combination. It has everything to do with the compound of the brake pads and the condition of the rotors.

get yourself some low dust brake pads....
Trinity Autosport carries Axxis Deluxe pads (that's what I have and from whom I bought them from)
AcutePerformance carries Hawk pads
both will fix the brake dust
***one of the best investments I made aside from my 166's, really makes my car look clean all the time

I have the 166 rims as well. In fact the the smaller spokes makes it harder to accumulate a lot of brake dust. But because its silver, it looks more obvious. I know black rims make it harder to notice.... There are 166s in Black chrome.
