Those scum! First the tire dealer lies to you and now TSW pulls their marketing tricks. Cold forging is still a forging process and would result in a forged wheel. Hot forging is more popular but cold forging is still used, for what I have no idea though. Go with a reputable company/vendor for your wheels. You have a lot of options as members have already posted. Forgestar, vorsteiner, VMR, etc. etc.

Oh and don't get mislead by Forgestar's name, they have a few line of actual forged wheels but those are in the $3,000+ range. The rest are flow form cast. Still good wheels though as they are a sister company/subsidiary of iForged.

Do you remember who makes them (I'm too lazy to search )? I remember seeing 2 companies, one of them being a lot better than the other. If I want to change it up down the line I would consider them. Real Volk TE's are too hard to come by on the M3 forums.

Forgestar is actually made by I-Forged. When me and my cousin sent in pics of his 645i to I-Forged, they asked us if we wanted to try out a new wheel they made on my supra. I was about to buy a set until someone offered me a good price to sell my car. When I get an e60, I may get a set.

Also, TSW did make alot of the OEM wheels for BMW for a period of time. My old e46 came with the TSW stamp on the back side of the wheel.
