Hey there

I am not sure how this thing is working ?
in the i-drive u can set the time in sec for the time the Follow me home light should be activated !
BUT can u when pushing the remote get the parkinglights to turn on when u leave your car and the ohter way when opening the car again get the light to shine ?
All i can do is pull the left arm against me when the car is turnede off and the Xenon will be on in 30sec kinda useless imo?

thx in advance

The only way to get the delayed lighting to turn on is to pull back on the headlight stalk. This will activate what you are calling "follow me home" feature. It will stay on for the number of seconds that you selected in i-drive.

Yup thats all it does... Thats actually when you really need it right? When arriving at home... I prefer to be stealth when arrive to my car. I dont want people to know which car I'm walking towards.

And when you're home and you park in your driveway and you need light to light a pathway to your door this is when you would pull the stalk to activate the "Follow Me Home" Lights. So you can see if anyone is around you, see the steps to your porch and you can see the key hole. And if you dont need it then you dont need to pull the stalk.

it sounds like you're use to American cars where they have the delay turn off of the head lights kinda like follow me home lights but stay on EVERY time you shut down the engine. or turn on every time you unlock the doors.

Most Benz does that, delayed lights turn off (fog light stays on for about 30 seconds or whatever you set it to be everytime you turn off the car), and when you unlock with the remote, the fog lights come on until you open the driver's door or stays on for about 30 seconds or whatever you set. Plus if you pull on the stalk like the BMWs, it does the same thing, it turns on the xenons as well as the fogs.

The feature you are talking about is available on the LCI models and it is called courtesy lights or so. You activate it with the I-drive in the same menu where you have the follow me home lights.
