use compressed air and a vaccum to get it out. I have one too, pre-LCI. Been there for a long time for about 4 years. I just dont care too much to take it out., it's grown on me.

I disagree - using compressed air etc may cause it to become more tightly wedged in.
Instead remove the lamp assembly ... use a vacuum cleaner and suck it out through one of the socket holes in the back of the lamp housing. Careful about too much vacuum suction though - suck carefully and shake the lamp to dislodge the bugger!!

I'm about to go pull one off if I can. Any advice? Plan on just removing the inside panel and hopefully exposing the attachment points. We'll see.
ETA: It's off, but it's still not obvious how to get the spiders out. I don't want to take it all apart...
