Flat Tyre and Trans locked
Hi
I found that I had a runflat tyre which had lost all its air pressure. I didn't notice it as flat as it had kept its shape. I am totally new to runflats.
As i was reversing into the garage the Transmission went into a locked mode. I have tried resetting the trans and it works for about 2 metres and relocks again.. I have tried resetting the tyre pressure settings in vehicles /tyres on idrive but still no luck.
Have I damaged the transmission by driving home on a flat runflat? I hoping its a reset thing.
Your comments would be great.
Thank you.

It's odd your car didn't give you a flat tyre warning. How long was the drive home. If you have an xdrive then you may be screwed.
What kind of iDrive message are you getting - or better yet, what OBD codes is the car throwing?
Or does the car just refuse to move far? Is it making any odd noises?

Hi
Thankyou for your reply. I pulled up at home a normal drive and the car would not go into any gear and was locked in park. No smells, no unusual warnings. The trans had been working normally.
No sign of any trans fluid leaks on the floor.
The symbol on the dash was a gear symbol with an exclamation mark in the middle.
No OBD codes on my cheap scanner.
The idrive said Transmission fault etc.
I was able to push it into the garage by using the emergency neutral shift with a screwdriver.
Any thoughts?
I suppose it's a tow truck to the stealership?
