My car was in minor accident with some minor damage on front right side panel by the wheel well, but mostly my front right wheel was hit. After driving a few miles flat tire warrning come on in idrive. There is no play or vibration. I visually checked the wheel and tires but do not see anything wrong. I do not have run flat tires. Does the wheel or tire have sensors and where are they located? Is there any way to get read off this alert as it seams to be false? Thanks
FTM runs off of the ABS sensor, and will only report a flat tyre if there is a difference in the rotational speed of one wheel vs. another. Maybe something's happened to the sensor me thinks.

BTW, you have Flat Tyre Monitor right? Not TPM (tyre pressure monitor...)

I am not sure what type of monitor it is but it shows flat tire warning. Can you please tell me how to reset it and see if it cones on again? Thx

Your idrive has a reset option for the FTM... I cant recall exactly what it says but it may be "calibrate"? When you do this it will take a few miles of driving to calibrate the system and reset itself.
just reset it in idrive, I think you have to go to the control message center in idrive and chose reset. It will reset automatically reset itself once you start driving. As for what type, I'm pretty sure you have the FTM, like mine.
Mine was acting up when I moved to 19" rims. Thought I had a flat and pulled over so I won't damage the rims and tires but all tires were normal. Just double check the air pressure again to make sure then reset it. It should be fine afterward.
