CVT, when are you getting your car back? I guess you are missing it tremendously. BTW, mine just changed status from On Order to Scheduled for Production.

Got my car back last night and was happy about that. The dealer did a great job fixing the scratch on the lower front fascia. Almost invisible. Very pleased.

As for the steering wheel, its improved but appears now slightly to the left. Its not too bad (better than before) but ain't perfect. I'll wait awhile and maybe take it back in a week or so. I'm just glad to have it back and its no big deal.

Having driven the pants off the 525 yesterday, its great to have the power and the sports suspension back. Couple of quick thoughts, the sports package is much tighter and the car has that nice jiggle to it. Handling is miles better, super flat, and the car just sits better on the road. I must say the inline 6 is smooth as glass, very linear and actually feels fast. By comparison, the V8 has a greater natural vibration and rumble to it. The big difference being there is a prolonged push in the V8 with speedometer climbing much faster. The 6 really struggles when pushed over 80 mph. Commendable though.

Just a couple of cents.

Do you have a angle/speed graph for AS?

CVT Benhogan

No, those are the only graphs. Rather than do it any more injustice by offering up more of my hackneyed explanations, I'll just point you to the article - it has been posted here many times. Stream posted it here - just look down a few posts for a file called ARS.pdf.

I am glad that you finally got you car back. So in the end, what was wrong with the sterring wheel. Was it a software problem or did they have to realign the front wheels? I hope everything works out for you.

Service said it was a computer software fix. Didn't ask for details. Drove the E60 around today for 3 hours and the steering wheel position seemed okay. A tad left of center now but not too obvious.

But damn, the car rides nice. The machine has me whipped.

Maybe you can lend it to me fore a few days? I just got an update from the toll-free number and the car will be born May 4th. I wonder when the car will get to the deal, condsidering the long VPC delays I have been hearing.
