Hey Doc!
Congrats! Marvelous car. Great stuff.
Do your mirrors fold on remote lock? Minew don't. Haven't read the manual yet tho.
The power socket in the trunk is an option with the folding rear seat btw. No rear sockets for me either, just the maple trim. No torch either.
Do you mean to say you can go back to the dealers to have it washed whenever??
What's a cubby hole? (me foreign)

Flowerfred,
Mirror folding by remote lock is a car memory feature and needs to be activated by dealer. Got mine activated 2 weeks ago. When I collected my car at the time they said they couldn't activate the feature for some reason and asked me to re-book my car in after they contacted BMW UK. However when I got home and tried it, it worked!!! I guess the car memory was telling lies to the technician's laptop.
Now I only want my Brake Force Display activated. Luckily you and Doc Diesel have it activated as standard.

Congratulations DD!! your car looks terrific - I especially enjoyed the spectacular interior and exterior color combinations (since that is exactly what I have ordered
and should be here in 4 weeks or so).

Titanium Gray II! The same color I ordered! Cannot wait!
But your car looks fantastic. I think Titanium Gray will soon become popular when people realize the new Silver Gray is nowhere near as good as the official photos in the brouchure (heavily edited or just wonderful lighting).

Looks great DD!
I was travelling today for work and away from a computer until now.
You'll be happy to know that I thought about you getting your car today at least once every hour or so! Isn't that nuts? I'm over here in the US thinking about someone I've never met in person over in Scotland taking delivery of a new car.
We are all truly diseased -- but in a good way!!
Enjoy your car -- keep us posted on your adventures.
(Oh and, did everyone notice the internet is back to slow again now that he's back online?)

Well, I'm overwhelmed by all the good wishes ....thank you very much.
Any requests for photographs or info????
I promise to take the weight off my refresh key and speed up the board somewhat
I wonder if I'm due a relapse next month when Mrs Petrols' new car is due??........there is no known cure for the disease we know as :-
BMWAnticipasis
Symptoms include
finger strain from hitting F5
a word perfecct knowledge of all brochures
obsession with a $5 item in a car costing at least 10,000 times more
searching foreign language internet pages in the hope of a 'slightly' different picture of our intended
thinking 'what use are cupholders' after all, nobody will be allowed to exhale, never mind drink in the car for weeks
etc etc etc
