Simply - Perfect

Needs not:

19" Axis Penta Wheels = welcome balancing problems and streering vibrations

H&R Lowering Springs for XI models = goodbye riding comfort

M Aero Kit. = why?

Yeah, the car does look great as it is, especially when it's clean (very rare with black), but I need to fill the arches and I wouldn't mind losing the wheel gap slightly, hence the reason for the springs. 18's on my old E39 were perfect, but 18's on the E60 just don't do it. As for the Aero Kit, if not the whole thing, definitely the front bumper portion. Even my wife said the stock one has to go.

Very nice.

How is the ride with new springs and wheels? Are you having any issues with tire rub or similar problems?

I haven't done any mods yet. Wheels and Springs are stock OEM.

H&R is still taking their sweet a$$ time getting the "xi" springs out for distribution. They were supposed to be available 8/15. The wheels will be ordered shortly (Although Tony, aka: Quad_M, is slowly convincing me to go with OEM's).

Your are right about the E39, even 17" looked "big" on that car.

Sure I understand you "gap problem", and still I say what you win in looks you loose in comfort.

The wheel gap has a important function. If you drive in (wet) snow the gap between the tyres and the fenders is nice to have so the iced stuff don't fill the fenders - I hope you understand what I mean.

If your wife says M kit - I keep my mouth closed

That is true about the snow. What would be ideal are adjustable coil-overs from H&R, but that probably won't be available for the "xi" models until Spring 2007, according to H&R. The one thing I am doing is putting back my 18's for winter, which also requires me to dump my RFT's and get new winter shoes. The expense never ends....does it??

Thanks! Yeah, I like it too. But after seeing everyone else's cars with some slight mods, I think it can look even better.
