It took awhile but I think I nailed it in, if I'm reading this right. It appears that the BMC 494/20 fits the car. its a little bit bigger but by such a small amount. Am i wrong?

a dyno was done on the bmc vs stock filter by a well respected company. their conclusion was that the stock filter was the best for the n54 turbo charged engine.

 

really? wtf. Is there any intake mod i can do that's worth it then? Well found the thread.

I'm a guy that came from camaro/gto world I'm not used to not modding....

 

At this point, only Dinan CAI looks promising for the N54 engine but it's only available for the 335i for now. Not sure if it will fit a 535i though. Don't buy other intakes as they are all HOT AIR Intakes!
