Hello all! First post here..
Just bought a 2006 525xi with 70k mi - have following questions/issues:
1. My oil level monitor indicates my oil level is going down each time I drive. I'm not leaking any oil that I can see, no blue smoke, and after about a week of ownership it hasn't overheated so I'm presuming I'm not making a chocolate shake in the oil pan. Can the monitor be flaky here? Should I just reset and see what happens?
2. Every once in a while the I drive beeps - three short and one long. What is that? FYI I do have a service indicator showing for oil and brakes. Brakes are new though.
3. Pass side thigh support no longer extends/retracts. I hear the motor whirring but nothing is moving. Has anyone encountered this before and know of a fix?
Thanks for your help.

Sounds like a dodgy sensor on the oil level, the "strange" beeps you are hearing is the clock, it makes three short and one long beep on the hour, as for the thigh support, it sounds like the motor may have come dislodged from the rail that moves the support. I hope this helps.
