Ferrari 355 or e60 m5 ?
FWIW, I owned a 348ts, which was the predecessor to the 355.
1. Oil changes were around $250 a pop (had a tendency to change it around 1,500-2,000 miles (which is fine, you don't put much mileage on car like this));
2. Major service intervals are 15k/30k or every 3 years (I think) -- I paid bettwen $7-8k USD for the service (they have to drop the entire engine out of the back engine bay to perform the service, so you get whacked on the (expensive) time to mount/dismount the engine);
3. Constantly had to repair my front apron -- car sits too low and the bumps always take a bite;
4. Also, many little 'electrical problems' -- especially with the power windows not going up/down, or going all the way up/down;
The Ferrari is hot. The engine roar just can't be duplicated. I also had my Dinan 97 M3 and would 'inter change' between the cars. Comparing the two -- the Ferrari drove on rails -- I really had to get the speed going in turns to get it to do anything other than go exactly where I wanted it to. The M3 was a great 'tosser' going in and out of turns was a blast. The Dinan upgrades really added to the torque of the car.
Bottom line performance from 0-60 -- I think the M3 owned it.
Handling and street performance -- Ferrari owned it.
Looking good while doing you're thing -- Ferrari alwys owns it.
Making fun of people in their Porsches -- Ferrari owns it (big rivalry there)
It's a passion thing. How else can you justify a $7-8k service?
Anyways, I digress.

I would go with the m5... even thought the F335 is an amazing car, it looks a little outdated. I would go with the V10 beast!
