Total BMW Group vehicle sales in this month increased 9.9% when compared to February of last year, basically on the strength of truck and MINI results.

Sales of the X Series were up 51.1% while car sales were down 1.8% when compared to last February. Car sales would have been down even more save for dealer incentives on the 325i and 330i.

Sales of the BMW brand were up 8.6% this month when compared to February, 2004.

Note that the Mercedes-Benz sales report is now included with the BMW Group Sales Report. Total MB sales of 13,513 units were down 16.5% when compared to the total of 16,174 sold in February, 2004.

Please note that I report only United States sales data.

Thanks Fred!

Looks like the "X" cars saved the month for the brand!

Wow--look at Mercedes. They're selling fewer cars than in '02, '03 and '04.
