What do you guys think of Mobil 1's new 5k, 7500 and 15k mile extended life synthetic oils?

Will you folks be using them?

For me Because I plan on keeping the car for a while and flushing the new engine metal particles out of it is important to me. And I dont like 15K mile changes... I'll do it once in between and then let the dealer do the schedule one. One oil change will not kill my wallet. Its $80 I am willing to spend.

If I leased the car hell... I dont care I'll change it at 30K miles for all I care.

BMW will be picking up the tab on my next few oil changes. Service agreement. I'll worry about the type of oils to use after my agreement expires.

Totally agree. For my last several cars, which had synthetic (Mobile 1) oil, I got mine changed after 3,000 miles to get rid of the break in particles, and going forward always paid for one at the mid point (tell the dealer to not reset the service indicator). A small price to pay if you're going to keep the car for a while.
