No Way. Every dealer has to know in February what to pay when ordering their March production cars that will arrive in April. Dealer cost and sticker pricing will be available no later than Feb
Haha..so you think! We have no pricing for 3 Series Convertibles and those cars are already in production!

The Car is in production, your dealership has submiited their allocation to BMWNA. The cars will be shipping soon and you don't know what they cost?? There is a sheet of paper on the desk on your sales manager's office. It shows every car coming into your dealership from the port. He knows what they are costing you.

bmw1986 - can you verify with someone (or you may have the info directly) that the 6-speed transmission will start production in September? Does that mean orders/allocations will allow configuration starting in July? Or is it take-order in Sept, delivery by Nov?

Also - are you 100% certain that 6 speed is still going to be available?

Thanks muchly.

(reason I ask: Before reading your confirmation of my interpretation of the guide, a friend and I both put $500 down on a 535i 6-speed allocation hold)

Option 205 is the Step. The guide notes that Option 2TB is the Sport Auto (SOP 06/07)

I would hope that a 5 speed manual is available SOP 03/07. If I will have to extend my lease until August.

I recieved a BMW Product Strategy Outline on the 08 5 Series and it was CLEARLY stated that the 535i/xi will Start Production in September, 07. Your dealer should have told you that!

Well, now that is very interesting. Now I am even more confused; the trim itself won't start production until September - does that mean that the ordering guide was incorrect in suggesting that the automatic was required for that model?

No, the Automatic, for now, is the only way that a 535i/xi can be ordered for now.
