I have a word of caution regarding the beige or grey iinterior based upon my experience with an older BMW that has a beige interior. Over a perior of years the leather belt on my trousers rubbed a brown stain on the lower seat back. If you are going to order a light color leather interior, I suggest placing a cloth between the seat back and your leather belt to avoid this problem.

My leather belt wore out the gray leather piping on my 2001 E39 (instead of a brown mark, there was a white mark where the leather was worn). The dealer replaced the whole leather seat cover under warranty.

I will keep the car for about 6 to 7 years. By the time I sell the car there will be about 200000 km on the odometer. I hope I can keep the interior clean during that period! What do you think?? ...if I thorougly clean it and put a lot of effort in it? Will beige be the right choice? I?m not as lazy as gomac? ?
Instead of playing in my team, always cleaning my car. That?s a fine lookout..

I have the grey interior and I have to clean it about once a week. I use maguires ritch leather cleaner/conditioner and it works great!. Leaves a nice scent in the car as well. Keep it clean and it will look great. Love the look!

i was about to buy it yesterday but worried about the finish look. will it have the "shiny" look like the pic on the bottle or the "matte" look just like we never put anything on our seats? also, they have spray, lotion/cream, and foam. which one did you use and which one is easier/better to use? ok, i have to admit, i'm super lazy <_<.

I have the lotion. Doesn't look shiny to me. I can really see a differance when used.

Bjoern, untill now I have only cleaned my interior once (in 6 weeks). The only thing I did was clean my frontseats and the armrest with a damped cloth. It was a 2 minute job and is a breeze to do. I am very happy with my light interior. It feels very sunny and the looks are very luxerious, I get a lot of thumbs up from people about the combo.
