Extended Warranty-- Worth It?

I have a 2006 530xi with 60,000 miles. I am the original owner. Do not have an extended warranty and not regretting it.
I also have a 2009 X5 with 60,000 miles. I am the original owner. Do not have an extended warranty, but I might close to "break even" if I hadn't done the labor myself.
So, it is somewhat of a crap shoot.
