2008 528i...
Im hitting 45K soon and only got couple of miles to go to decided weather choose the extended warranty that bmw offers.
I spoke to some one at bloomfield and they gave me couple of options, But if i do decide i would go for the
Gold package= 84m/100k $3490 the advisor said it covers everything, exactly what the original warranty covers.
my ques is really is it worth it or just take the money and mod ( suspension, sways, a few other parts in mind.)
by next year im planning to move to Miami, so i lot of miles is gonna be put on the car.

it's pretty expensive. do you not have the CPO warranty? i think you're paying more for maintenance and peace of mind than anything. also it depends on how many miles you put on your car every year. if you put 8-10k, you're talking $3,500 for 5+ years, which isn't a bad deal. 25k miles a year makes the deal less attractive. $3,500 for 5 years and peace of mind is relatively enticing.

Try an after market warranty. I went with Mercury with their platinum coverage that was an exclusionary policy, listed what was not covered, for my 07 550i additional 6 year or up to 85k miles for $1800.

Do it. One major repair could cost you more than the cost of the warranty. Our cars are a lot of money to fix and they are no Honda in terms of reliability.

I agree. Go ahead with the warranty, it will pay off.

Did they try any high-pressure sales tactics when you asked for a quote? Or did they start "high" and lower the price to close you?

Neither, I asked my service advisor which warranty companies he works with besides the BMW one, and his reponse was Mercury. He said they are extremely easy to work with and he has never had a claim denied.
