Does any body have an extended warranty, my dealer says I can get a 7 year 100,000 mile service warranty for $1500 is this good, he said the 100,000 service costs $1500 by it self so it wold be wise to have it, just bring the car in at 95,000 miles

I can't imagine the warranty covers services! The actual "free maintenance program" and the warranty program are different things. Now, I've had experience with other car companies extended warranties, but not with BMW. They NEVER cover service itself, but they do require it in order to maintain the warranty. If anyone else has experience with the BMW warranty and service being covered, please post!

I believe your dealer is talking about BWMs extended service contract which ups the service to 100K. The extended warranty is a different beast.

Sue and firewired are both right, get some clarification because there is a difference between an extended warranty and an extended service plan. I've never heard of an extended warranty covering service. And to get an extended service plan at a price that is below the 100,000 service alone sounds a bit odd to me. Get a lot more information before signing up for anything!
