Just wondering if the expansion tank on the 530i is as much of a problem as on the 545. I had mine go out at 60k on the 545 and a friend has a 530i and has been wondering whether to replace or not. He is currently over 100k on the original unit.

I think it's a problem on all of them. My 06' seeps smack dab in the center. It empties itself after a couple days. I really need to get on that.

Mine went out about 1 month after I bought my '07 530i in '10, <50k miles... all E60s are vulnerable, luck of the draw as to whether or not you got a good part from the OEM manufacturer
